FOUNDER - WILLARD REEVES, 1916-1992
In 1960, Willard and Bess Reeves founded Willard D. Reeves Company with four hundred borrowed dollars. The company began buying and selling used block ice plants and refrigeration systems. They sold everything "as is" and did not rebuild any equipment.
Today, thirty-five years later Willard D. Reeves Company, now C & R Refrigeration, has grown to become not only the leader in the United States for selling rebuilt ammonia refrigeration systems, but has increased their company services to include plant engineering and design, construction, plant maintenance and one of the largest new parts inventories in the United States.
MORE THAN 35 YEARS IN THE EXPORT MARKET
With more than 35 years in the export market, we understand the demands and requirements of overseas clients, including banking, crating, packing and shipping procedures. We are experienced with export documentation and work with United States organizations such as A.I.D. and the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
For export clients, C & R offers modular plant designs which include freezing, cooling IQF and ice making. These plants are skid-mounted and specifically designed for export shipment. This allows easy assembly and relocation involving minimal time.
Many overseas plants hope to export their products to the United States. Therefore, it is necessary to have the proper plant design to meet USDA or other food and health requirements. C & R bi-lingual engineers understand and meet the needs of our clients.
EVERYONE OPERATES USED EQUIPMENT
Marketing its products to hundreds of companies around the world, including most Major Food Companies, C & R provides refrigeration services to the poultry, meat, vegetable, dairy, bottling and beverage, package ice, seafood, petrochemical and process food industry.
It is C & Rs belief that "everyone operates used equipment." C & R utilizes their vast knowledge and experience in refrigeration engineering, production and service support to provide quality rebuilt equipment to their customers.
Recognizing that many plants or applications require new equipment, C & R can design and furnish complete new systems. C&R designs include careful consideration of energy efficiency, USDA requirements and future maintenance or expansion considerations.
